Photo of the Week
Hatteras Light - Night Panorama
This week I wanted to feature this image from my early morning (very early) session at the Hatteras Light. I love showing this iconic Lighthouse in a way not often seen, and this panorama evokes a feeling for how special it really is. It's a beacon on the edge of the continent, warning sailors of times past away from danger as they navigated under the stars. Today it welcomes all to our beloved Outer Banks.
Technically this image is a composite of seven vertical frames put together in Photoshop. This gives a much sharper enlargement to larger sizes.
Also, a shout out to my friend Jay Wickens, our local night sky photography guru, who made a similar image that inspired me!
I hope you enjoy it,
